‘Write off or write up’
As the year draws to a close, a lot of us are preoccupied with what we have achieved throughout the year. While some people were diligent and can easily tick off most of the things on their list of goals for 2015, some of us are still looking for the lists, which got lost somewhere in March or we are nursing an ‘if only’ and lamenting about how everything took over from the very things we had marked as important. The reality is that your dreams, talents and aspirations can’t read time and therefore will wait to be realised at any time of your choice. Therefore, as we reflect on our progress to date, we must be kind to ourselves by writing off some aspects and writing up aspects that are part of our future. Our Inspired T for today : Write off all the things and relationships that should have never made your list in the first place Write up the steps you intend to take to reach your goals Write off the hurt, tears and transgressions caused by the situations and encounters that were meant for you but you were ill prepared for Write up in gratitude all your physical, spiritual and emotional achievements irrespective of their magnitude And for some of us, perhaps next year is the year where we write nothing at all because have decided to surrender everything to the Higher Power. We will be walking by faith knowing that we will collide with our dreams, talents and aspirations along the way. So the conversation must continue. .
